The Israeli army has ordered the evacuation of seven villages in southern Lebanon.

Beirut – May 30, 2026: The Israeli military ordered the immediate evacuation of residents from seven villages in southern Lebanon on May 27, 2026. This move is part of ongoing military operations against Hezbollah militias in Lebanon. The affected villages include Ansariyeh, Kharayeb, Chabriha, Sarafand, Aadloun, Baisariyeh, and Houmine El Faouqa. Residents were instructed to move to a safe zone north of the Zahrani River.

This evacuation order was issued after the Israeli military crossed the Litani River and advanced about 30 kilometers north toward the Lebanese border. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the offensive and stated that the Israeli army is “fully engaged” against Hezbollah.

In recent years, Israeli military operations have increased significantly, conducting air strikes on more than 30 locations across southern Lebanon, including near the city of Tyre. These attacks targeted pro-Iranian Hezbollah facilities. The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that these air strikes have killed at least 11 people, including one paramedic and one Syrian citizen.

Although there is nominally a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, Israel continues to carry out attacks on Hezbollah targets. Tensions between the two countries have escalated significantly in recent weeks, especially after the Israeli military crossed the Litani River.

Against the backdrop of military escalation, Washington is mediating talks between Israeli and Lebanese military delegations. Although Hezbollah opposes direct Israel-Lebanon dialogue, these negotiations have been described as “constructive.”

The international community is closely monitoring the situation in southern Lebanon, fearing that continued fighting could trigger a more severe humanitarian crisis. The evacuation of civilians and ongoing military actions increase the risk of further instability in the region.

The situation remains tense, and it is unclear how events will develop in the coming days. The international community is calling to ease tensions and resume peace talks to prevent the conflict from escalating further.

The Lebanese government condemned the Israeli military’s evacuation order, calling it a violation of Lebanese sovereignty and emphasizing that such measures will only exacerbate regional tensions. The Lebanese government is urging the international community to pressure Israel to immediately stop military operations and return to the negotiating table.

The humanitarian situation in southern Lebanon is deteriorating, with thousands of civilians forced to leave their homes and seek refuge in unsafe areas. Relief organizations warn that a severe humanitarian crisis is approaching and call on the international community to urgently provide assistance.
