Additional measures aim to reduce the risk of incidents. Some subway and RER stations may be temporarily closed. Traffic restrictions will be applied in certain areas of Paris, and some shops in sensitive locations plan to close early. The sale of canister fuels and possession of certain items that could be thrown or used as improvised weapons have also been banned.
Security measures are not limited to the capital. The 22,000 personnel deployed will be stationed nationwide to monitor spontaneous fan gatherings in other cities as well. Authorities expect the impact of PSG’s victory to spread beyond Paris nationwide.
