France faces mounting government pressure amid intense heatwave

This scheme allows workers to take up to five extra days off on very hot days.

Despite clear warnings, many people maintain their usual lifestyles, increasing the risk of more heat-related illnesses. The government urges citizens to strictly follow prevention guidelines and seek medical help immediately if symptoms appear.
