Israel expands military operations in Lebanon and demands evacuations in the south

Beirut – 31 May 2026: Israel has officially announced the expansion of its military operations into Lebanon and is calling on the population in the south of the country to evacuate immediately, particularly all areas south of the Zahrani River. A spokesperson for the Israeli military published this message in Arabic on Telegram on Sunday. It merely notes that the Israeli army considers any sites used by Hezbollah for military purposes to be legitimate targets.
