Well prepared for the music festival: An extensive guide

Paris – 01.06.2026: The festival season is underway, marking the start of a period of intense shared outdoor experiences for many music lovers. A key factor for a successful festival is preparation – especially the right choice and packing of equipment. A well-packed backpack makes festival life easier and ensures you are prepared for various weather conditions and unforeseen situations.

Indispensable is a sturdy, waterproof backpack that offers enough storage space and protection against moisture. Those on the go during the day can opt for a smaller backpack or a waist bag, while for longer stays, a larger model is recommended. Clothing should also be chosen carefully: light, breathable fabrics are pleasant in sunshine, while a warm jacket or hoodie is essential for cooler evenings. Rain ponchos or water-repellent jackets reliably protect against sudden rain, which is common at outdoor events. Equally important is sturdy, comfortable footwear that can handle long distances without problems; open shoes like sandals are less advisable as they offer little protection.

Hygiene items should also definitely not be missing from the luggage. Wet wipes, biodegradable toilet paper, and disinfectant help to stay fresh and clean even far from fixed sanitary facilities. A small travel first aid kit with plasters, painkillers, and personal medication is recommended to treat minor injuries or complaints. Additionally, it is wise to have a copy of your ID and an emergency number on hand to be prepared for unexpected situations.

Ensuring sufficient water supply is indispensable for long days outdoors. A refillable water bottle can often be filled at refill stations, which spares the environment. For small hunger pangs, transport-friendly snacks such as muesli bars or fruit are practical, with foods having a long shelf life being the most suitable.

Technical devices are now indispensable for festival life. Smartphones serve for communication, as a camera, or navigation aid. Since the battery often drains quickly, a power bank is advisable, preferably with a solar function, to make the power supply independent and sustainable. Another important point is hearing protection: special festival earplugs reduce the strain from high sound levels without impairing sound quality too much. This way, hearing stays protected even after several days of intensive live music.

With this careful preparation, nothing stands in the way of an unforgettable festival experience. Whether it’s about music, encounters, or camping life – with the right equipment, the festival trip becomes a great success where every moment can be enjoyed.
