Putin refuses meeting with Zelensky

Saint Petersburg – June 5, 2026: Russian President Vladimir Putin has rejected the direct meeting proposed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Zelensky had earlier requested a personal meeting for a complete ceasefire and an end to the conflict between the two countries in an open letter.

He judged that a meeting without a specific agreement was meaningless.
