Dance Art Summer: Our Selection to Celebrate Choreographic Diversity

Paris – 24.06.2026: The summer in France promises a celebration of choreographic diversity. Numerous outdoor shows in exceptional settings pay tribute to French heritage and invite unforgettable experiences.

From July 11 to August 4, 2026, the “Festival Paris l’été” takes place in Paris. This renowned festival presents a mix of theater, dance, circus, music, and performing arts in more than fifteen unusual venues in the city and region. Most events are free and offer something for every taste.

One of the festival’s highlights is the performance “Revoir les étoiles” by the Australian circus group Circa. From June 5 to 7, 2026, at the Grand Palais d’été, this show transports spectators to a world of aerial acrobatics that combines dance, theater, and music. The staging is a tribute to optimism and symbolizes the ascent from darkness to light.

From June 15 to 21, 2026, the MoVa Festival takes place in Balagne, Corsica. This innovative contemporary dance and music festival integrates art into the region’s stunning landscapes. It offers three immersive artistic routes connecting different natural and historical sites, in addition to numerous workshops and masterclasses for all ages.

For fans of contemporary circus, the “Festival Rue des Étoiles” is held from August 20 to 24, 2026, in Biscarrosse, Landes, offering a week full of acrobatics, juggling, clowning, and aerial acts. This festival, which has existed since 1998, takes place in a picturesque setting on the shores of Lake Latécoère and combines poetry, humor, and technical mastery.

Finally, mention should be made of the work “L’ivresse des lucioles” by Carmel Loanga, presented on July 22 and 23, 2026, in the Jardin des Tuileries in Paris. This dance piece, part of the “Étés du Louvre,” promises a unique outdoor experience.

The diversity of the selected events reflects the vibrant and multifaceted dance scene in France. They offer the public the opportunity to experience multiple facets of this art form, from classical and contemporary dance to innovative circus and performing arts. The choice of exceptional venues adds an extra touch by framing the performances in picturesque natural or urban landscapes, thus creating unforgettable summer memories.

In addition to professional performances, many festivals offer workshops and masterclasses that especially support young talents and enthusiasts. Thus, the summer of 2026 becomes an opportunity not only to passively enjoy the French cultural scene but to actively participate in it. Overall, the season promises to be a major cultural event that successfully combines dance and circus art, tradition and innovation.
