One Piece at the Musée Grévin: A Touch of Paris in Pirate Style

Paris – 06/26/2026: The Musée Grévin, the renowned wax museum in the heart of Paris, opened its doors today for an extraordinary exhibition: Ten life-size wax figures of the Straw Hat Pirates from the world-famous manga “One Piece” now adorn the halls of the museum. This premiere marks the first presentation of a Japanese anime universe at Grévin.

The exhibition, titled “Cabaret du Soleil,” invites visitors into a world where the pirate adventure of “One Piece” meets the elegant atmosphere of a Parisian cabaret. In a room of over 80 square meters, the figures of the crew around Monkey D. Luffy are arranged in a festive scene reminiscent of a lively banquet. The meticulously crafted wax figures were made in Japan and reflect the distinctive dynamic and humor of the series.

The collaboration between the Musée Grévin and Toei Animation, the studio behind “One Piece,” has created an immersive setting that plunges visitors into the world of pirates. The combination of soft lighting, an engaging soundscape, and the life-size figures generates an atmosphere that excites both fans of the series and newcomers alike.

On the occasion of the opening, the first 50,000 visitors with a valid ticket will receive an exclusive promotional card for the “One Piece Card Game.” This special offer is valid while supplies last, giving fans the chance to take a piece of the exhibition home.

Yves Delhommeau, Director of the Musée Grévin, explains the motivation behind the exhibition: “‘One Piece’ is especially popular worldwide among younger generations and has developed into a global phenomenon with over 600 million manga copies sold and more than 1,160 aired anime episodes. The series embodies adventure, friendship, and freedom—values we want to celebrate here at the museum in a creative connection with Parisian culture.”

The exhibition blends Japanese pop culture with French tradition while offering insights into the fascinating world of one of the most successful manga of all time. The Musée Grévin is located in the 9th arrondissement of Paris and is open daily. Tickets can be purchased both online and on site.

“Cabaret du Soleil” will be on view until December 31, 2029, and targets fans of the series as well as anyone interested in discovering the connection between art, culture, and pop culture. In addition to the wax figures, the exhibition offers a multimedia experience that combines visual and auditory stimuli and sparks visitors’ imagination.

For lovers of manga, anime, and Parisian culture, this exhibition is a lasting highlight that skillfully blurs the boundaries between worlds and excites both Japan enthusiasts and culture lovers.
