Heatwave: Government involves La Poste in care of isolated elderly

Paris - 03.07.2026: The French government is expanding its prevention measures in view of the current heatwave and is asking La Poste postal workers nationwide to pay increased attention to isolated and medically vulnerable people on their regular routes. Where municipalities request it, deliverers should make short visits, ask about wellbeing and, if necessary, inform municipal services or emergency medical services.
