Tarbes - 06.07.2026: Unrest is growing in Tarbes: employees and local officeholders report that the defense segment of owner Europlasma is up for sale. They say the Forges de Tarbes would be particularly affected; it is currently the only site in France that manufactures the steel casings for 155-mm artillery shells. These empty casings are later completed into operational ammunition by defense companies such as KNDS (formerly Nexter).
