Perpignan - 06.07.2026: A large-scale forest fire north of Perpignan has burned around 4,600 hectares of vegetation since the weekend, according to authorities, and has led to extensive evacuations. The prefecture of the Pyrénées-Orientales confirmed during the night to Monday that several municipalities were evacuated as a precaution. In total, more than 10,000 people had to leave their homes or were moved to safe zones.
