Transfer of the Bayeux Tapestry to London has begun

Bayeux - 09.07.2026: The transport of the Bayeux Tapestry toward London began on 9 July 2026. The almost 69-metre-long and richly embroidered linen cloth is to be shown at the British Museum. The departure had been prepared by French authorities for months and was approved after several trial runs and packaging tests.
