A 17-year-old girl lost her life during the night from Thursday to Friday in a serious accident. While crossing a roundabout, she apparently lost her balance, fell from the vehicle and ended up under the wheels. Despite the rapid intervention of emergency services, all help came too late. The young woman died at the scene of the accident.
The exact circumstances of the tragedy are now the focus of an investigation by the authorities. The truck driver has been taken into custody. The public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation to fully clarify how the accident occurred and examine any possible responsibility. Witness statements and technical assessments are now expected to clarify how this fatal fall could have happened.
At the time of the accident, several minors were in the immediate vicinity of the vehicle. One of the young people was severely shocked and had to be taken to the hospital in Maubeuge. This experience will undoubtedly leave a lasting mark on the friends and relatives present.
