Major Fire in the Foret de Fontainebleau: Around 800 Hectares Affected

Fontainebleau - 13/07/2026: A large-scale forest fire in the Foret de Fontainebleau southeast of Paris had engulfed around 800 hectares by shortly after midnight. The Seine-et-Marne fire service has classified the blaze as exceptionally large and difficult to contain. The fire broke out on Sunday afternoon and spread rapidly through the extensive forest area.According to operational reports, nearly 400 firefighters have been mobilized.
