Paris - 16 July 2026: The dispute over the renewal of France's firefighting aircraft fleet has intensified between Gabriel Attal and Jean-Luc Melenchon. The former prime minister rejected the accusation that his government had prevented the acquisition of two additional Canadair aircraft. Melenchon had distorted the facts, Attal said in a television appearance on 15 July.
