Galerie d'Apollon Reopens - but the Louvre Heist Remains Visible

Paris - 21 July 2026: On Wednesday, July 22, the Louvre will reopen a hall that has for months stood for a particularly painful loss. The Galerie d'Apollon, the ceremonial hall housing the French crown jewels, was closed after the break-in of October 19, 2025. Visitors will now return to the long, gilded gallery - but without the pieces of jewelry that once stood at its center.The heist took place in broad daylight.
