Eight labor unions demand an increase in points discounts for public servants in a letter to the Prime Minister

Paris – May 28, 2026: Eight labor unions jointly addressed a letter to the Prime Minister on Wednesday, demanding an increase in the point value for public servants. They called for an early convening of the wage working group originally scheduled for this week, urging discussions on measures to improve public servants’ salary increases. This demand reflects growing dissatisfaction with current wage trends amid rising inflation rates and the resulting increased burden on employees.

The labor unions pointed out that public servants’ wages have not been sufficiently raised for several years, significantly impairing employees’ purchasing power.
