Israeli Army Orders Evacuation of Seven Villages in Southern Lebanon

Beirut – 30.05.2026: On May 27, 2026, the Israeli army called on residents of seven villages in southern Lebanon to evacuate immediately. This measure is part of ongoing military operations against the Lebanese Hezbollah militia. The affected villages are Ansariyeh, Kharayeb, Chabriha, Sarafand, Aadloun, Baisariyeh, and Houmine El Faouqa. Residents were instructed to move to safety north of the Zahrani River.

This evacuation order follows Israeli troops crossing the Litani River, moving about 30 kilometers north of the border with Lebanon. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed this offensive, stating that the Israeli army is acting “with full force” against Hezbollah.

Israel’s military activities have increased in recent days, with airstrikes conducted on more than 30 locations in southern Lebanon, including near the city of Tyre. These strikes target pro-Iranian Hezbollah facilities. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least 11 people have been killed in these attacks, including a paramedic and a Syrian national.

Despite the formal ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, Israel continues its attacks on Hezbollah targets. Tensions between the two countries have significantly escalated in recent weeks, especially after Israeli forces crossed the Litani River.

Amid this military escalation, talks are taking place in Washington between Israeli and Lebanese military delegations, mediated by the United States. These negotiations are described as “constructive,” although Hezbollah opposes direct talks between Lebanon and Israel.

The international community is watching developments in southern Lebanon with concern, as ongoing fighting could lead to further humanitarian crises. The evacuation of civilians and continued military operations increase the risk of further destabilizing the region.

The situation remains tense, and it is unclear how events will unfold in the coming days. The international community is calling for a de-escalation of tensions and the resumption of peace talks to prevent a further escalation of the conflict.

The Lebanese government condemned the Israeli army’s evacuation orders as violations of Lebanon’s sovereignty, emphasizing that such measures only fuel regional tensions. It is calling on the international community to pressure Israel to immediately halt military activities and return to negotiations.

The humanitarian situation in southern Lebanon is deteriorating rapidly, with thousands of civilians forced to leave their homes and seek refuge in unsafe areas. Aid organizations are warning of an impending humanitarian crisis and appeal to the international community to provide urgent assistance.
