Israeli army orders evacuation of seven villages in southern Lebanon

Beirut – 30.05.2026: The Israeli army ordered on May 27, 2026, the residents of seven villages in southern Lebanon to evacuate immediately. This measure is part of ongoing military operations against the Lebanese militia Hezbollah. The affected villages are Ansariyeh, Kharayeb, Chabriha, Sarafand, Aadloun, Baisariyeh and Houmine El Faouqa. Residents were urged to move to safety north of the Zahrani River.

This evacuation order follows the crossing of the Litani River by Israeli troops, who are moving about 30 kilometers north of the border with Lebanon. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed this offensive, stating that the Israeli army is acting “with full force” against Hezbollah.

Israeli military activity has increased in recent days, with air raids on more than 30 locations in southern Lebanon, including areas near the city of Tyre. These attacks target Hezbollah, pro-Iranian, facilities. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least 11 people were killed in these attacks, including a rescuer and a Syrian citizen.

Despite the formal ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, Israel continues attacks against Hezbollah targets. Tensions between the two countries have risen significantly in recent weeks, especially after the crossing of the Litani River by Israeli troops.

Amid this military escalation, talks are taking place in Washington between Israeli and Lebanese military delegations, mediated by the United States. These negotiations are described as “constructive”, although Hezbollah opposes any direct dialogue between Lebanon and Israel.
