Two Trenitalia high-speed trains stranded in Burgundy for over twelve hours due to technical failure — affecting 841 passengers

Due to a technical failure, two Trenitalia high-speed trains were forced to stop, being stranded for more than twelve hours in total. The failure occurred around 23:45, shortly before midnight. Train crews reported a technical system failure, which caused the two trains to stop while running between Yonne and Côte-d’Or provinces. The twelve-hour train delay caused significant delays to regional and cross-regional trains. The affected lines in southeastern France were particularly impacted, triggering a chain reaction on subsequent trains and connecting routes. Passengers were advised to check the latest timetables through Trenitalia and station channels.
