Bordeaux tackles discarded cigarettes by impounding cars

Bordeaux - 22 July 2026: A smouldering cigarette butt thrown from a moving car can be far more than a thoughtless gesture these days. In view of the extremely high wildfire risk in the Gironde, the Bordeaux public prosecutor's office has announced tougher action.
