The contaminated ham was offered for sale between May 23 and 24 in Lidl stores in the Grand Est and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté regions.
Lidl must conduct a product recall campaign. It concerns cooked ham of the Saint Alby brand, which is contaminated with Listeria, as reported by TF1Info. The affected products have the barcode 20057626, lot number 0421400006, and a best-before date of June 12, 2022.
The ham was offered for sale between May 23 and 24 in Lidl stores in the Grand Est and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté regions. The list of affected stores is available on the website rappel.conso.gouv.fr. Consumers should not eat the Label Rouge ham and are advised to return it to their store to receive a refund.
A check carried out by Lidl found the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes in the ham. Rappel conso advises: People who “have fever, either alone or combined with headaches and muscle pain, should consult their attending physician and inform them about this consumption.”
As a reminder: Listeria can cause listeriosis, a disease that can be severe and whose incubation period can be up to eight weeks.
