Four Men Injured in London: 47-Year-Old Charged After Attack Near Covent Garden

London – 06/08/2026: One day after the attack in Endell Street in central London, 47-year-old Stella Gollovena has been charged. According to the Metropolitan Police, four men aged 34, 39, 42 and 52 were found there on Wednesday, 05/08/2026, with stab injuries. The scene is near Covent Garden, a busy district with shops, theatres and numerous visitors.

Police were called to Endell Street at around 12:27 p.m. following a reported attack. Emergency services and paramedics initially treated the injured men at the scene before they were taken to a trauma centre. According to police, two of them have since been discharged from hospital. The other two initially remained under treatment, although their injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Officers recovered a pair of scissors at the scene. Gollovena was arrested later on Wednesday. The woman faces four charges of intentionally causing bodily harm with intent to inflict serious injury. She is also accused of possessing an offensive weapon in public. The defendant is in remand custody and is due to appear before Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court in London on Thursday afternoon. This will mark the start of court proceedings concerning the allegations; no determination of guilt or innocence has yet been made.

The Metropolitan Police said, based on its initial investigation, that the attack may be linked to mental health issues. This preliminary assessment is not a medical diagnosis. Whether there is a health-related factor and what significance it could have for the criminal proceedings can only be determined through expert assessments and judicial review.
