Gironde: New Fire Outbreaks Put Firefighters Under Time Pressure

Lanton - 30 July 2026: After several calmer days, forest fires in Gironde have flared up again. On Wednesday, 29 July, emergency services reported severe fire outbreaks near Lanton, in the Blagon district, and in Le Temple. Temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius, dried-out vegetation and very low humidity hampered firefighting efforts.
