Giuliano Alesi Makes His Debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans

Le Mans – 13.06.2026: Giuliano Alesi, 26 years old and son of former Formula 1 driver Jean Alesi, is about to compete in his first race at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the most prestigious endurance races in the world. After several years in motorsport in Japan, where he raced in Super Formula and the GT500 series for Toyota, the young Frenchman is now returning to France to compete with the Iron Lynx team in the LMGT3 class. He will drive the Mercedes-AMG GT3 with the number 62.

Alesi’s father, Jean Alesi, who himself participated twice in the 24 Hours of Le Mans – in 1989 and 2010 – supports his son as the patron of the drivers’ parade. This takes place on June 12, 2026, and passes through the center of Le Mans to present the drivers to the public ahead of the big race.

The 94th edition of the race starts on June 13 at 4:00 PM and features 62 vehicles from three classes: Hypercar, LMP2, and LMGT3. Ferrari plans to continue its success from recent years and once again relies on its 499P models with the goal of securing a third consecutive victory.

For Giuliano Alesi, participation in this legendary event marks a decisive step in his career. He expressed high motivation in interviews and sees the race as a great opportunity to prove himself on an international level and to forge his own path in motorsport. After years of experience in Japanese motorsport, he is ready to take on the challenges of the Circuit de la Sarthe.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans are not only considered a sporting highlight of the year but also a demanding test for both drivers and technology. Alesi’s start in this race allows him to showcase his skills in a unique environment – at the same time, he steps into the footsteps of his famous father, who is regarded as one of the great French racing drivers.

With his participation, Giuliano Alesi demonstrates that motorsport talents can also develop internationally. His career gained a special edge through Japanese motorsport; now he is focusing on establishing himself in France and Europe. Preparations are in full swing, and both the Iron Lynx team and Alesi himself are firmly determined to deliver a strong performance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2026.
