Noisy-sur-Ecole - 13 July 2026: An exceptionally large forest fire has affected the western part of the Fontainebleau forest in Seine-et-Marne. According to emergency services, around 800 hectares had been affected by Monday morning. The fire broke out late Sunday afternoon, 12 July, near the A6 motorway and spread rapidly under hot, dry and windy conditions.More than 400 firefighters were deployed overnight; according to the Interior Ministry and media reports, two firefighting aircraft were additionally sent to the region.
