U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance launches negotiations with Iran in Switzerland

Zurich – 21 June 2026: US Vice President J.D. Vance arrived in Switzerland on Sunday to negotiate directly with Iranian representatives, in a high-level meeting, the limitation of Iran’s nuclear program and the continuation of the fragile truce in the Middle East. The talks are taking place at the Bürgenstock ski resort above Lake Lucerne and mark the start of a 60-day negotiation process of great importance for global security.
