This measure aims to lighten the financial burden for those who travel long distances daily with their personal vehicle for professional purposes. The support consists of a one-time payment of 50 euros, corresponding to a reduction of 20 cents per liter for an average fuel consumption over three months. The aid is intended for people using a non-rechargeable thermal or hybrid personal motor vehicle, and who regularly maintain this vehicle.

The application must be submitted via the personal online portal at impots.gouv.fr. Starting from May 27, 2026, eligible individuals can submit their application. After validation, the aid will be paid into the bank account indicated within about ten days.

Despite the clarity of the criteria, the use of the online calculator has led some users to unexpected results. Some have discovered they were eligible when they did not expect to be, while others were surprised not to be able to benefit.
