Heatwave in France causes seven deaths

Paris – 26.05.2026: France is hit by an intense heat wave that has already caused seven deaths. According to government spokesperson Maud Bregeon, five of these deaths are due to drowning, while another two were recorded during sports activities in Paris and the metropolitan area of Lyon.
