Philippe Diallo emphasizes the humility and composure of the French national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup finals.

Paris – 16.06.2026: Philippe Diallo, President of the French Football Federation (FFF), has praised the French national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup final tournament, hosted in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. In an interview, Diallo emphasized that “Les Bleus” will approach the tournament with humility and calm, along with the dream of winning their third world championship star. He also highlighted the importance of treating opponents with respect as well as the will to focus on their own strengths to succeed in the competition.

The ambitions of the team and the Federation are very high, but the top priority remains calmness and confidence within the squad. Diallo also mentioned the recent agreement regarding financial conditions for the players, particularly bonuses and the number of tickets allocated for family members throughout the tournament. Although specific figures were not disclosed, this agreement is intended to prevent potential tensions before the World Cup and to strengthen the team.

Regarding questions about the coach, Diallo chose to be cautious. Although he had previously hinted at knowing the name of the future national team coach, he now does not want to reveal more in order to avoid distractions before the tournament. This stance aims to promote focus on the current tournament and support the work of the current coach Didier Deschamps. The Federation’s decision to keep information confidential shows an effort not to disturb the team unnecessarily.

Diallo also praised the success of France’s top club Paris Saint-Germain, which recently won the UEFA Champions League for the second time in a row. He called this victory “historic” and a demonstration of the strength of French football on the European stage. This success is a positive motivator for the national team as they bring that energy to the World Cup.

The President of the Fédération Française de Football calls for humility and calm to always be important values for the “Bleus” – not only in the sports competition environment but also in how they interact with international opponents. He affirmed that the Federation will provide the necessary support to create optimal conditions for success at the 2026 World Cup. The French national team therefore enters the tournament full of confidence but also full of respect and maturity; the tournament will take place from June 11 to July 19 on the North American continent.
