Paris – 30.05.2026: The streets of Paris shone in the club colors of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) as the team secured their second consecutive Champions League title. After a gripping 1-1 draw against Arsenal during regular time and a subsequent 4-3 win in the penalty shootout, thousands of fans cheered on the Champs-Élysées and in front of the Parc des Princes.

The celebrations began in the afternoon as numerous supporters gathered in front of the Parc des Princes to watch the game on large screens. With chants, fanfares, and flares, they created an electrifying atmosphere. Hours before kick-off, the mood was already charged, and fans sang their traditional songs to support their team.

After the final whistle, joy erupted throughout the city. The streets were flooded with jubilant people celebrating their team’s victory. Bars and restaurants in the city were lively with celebrations, and fans were swept up by the festive mood.

However, the festivities were overshadowed by isolated riots. Despite a massive police presence, some parts of the city experienced vandalism and clashes with security forces. Nationwide, over 400 people were arrested, and several police officers were injured. The Interior Minister condemned the violence and emphasized that such incidents were “absolutely unacceptable.”

Despite the incidents, the majority of fans remained peaceful and celebrated responsibly. The city administration confirmed that the planned celebration at Champ-de-Mars would take place as scheduled. For many supporters, PSG’s victory symbolized unity and pride, even though authorities sharply condemned the accompanying violence.

Throughout France, fans followed the game with enthusiasm. In Lyon, traditionally a stronghold of Olympique Lyonnais, many supporters backed PSG in hopes of another French success on the European stage.

The PSG players expressed their joy and relief over winning the title. Marquinhos, the team captain, emphasized the significance of the victory and the hard work behind it. Coach Luis Enrique also praised his team’s performance and highlighted the team’s development under his leadership.

Securing a second consecutive Champions League title cements PSG’s status as one of the leading teams in European football and sends a clear signal about the club’s future. Fans can look forward to more exciting years, with their team continuing to compete at the top level of European football.
