Paris – June 14, 2026: VivaTech, Europe’s leading platform for startups and technological innovations, celebrated its tenth anniversary with a special event on the Champs-Élysées. From 12:00 to 18:00, the famous avenue became a free open-air experience world for technology enthusiasts.
Under the eight monumental letters of the “VivaTech” sign, various thematic areas such as “City & Mobility”, “Impact & Planet”, “Health & Wellbeing”, “Robots & Space”, “AI How-to”, “Jobs & Training”, “Culture, Sport & Entertainment”, and the “Agora” presented a wide range of interactive installations and demonstrations. Visitors received tangible insights into technologies that will shape our lives in the future.
Highlights included a stratospheric capsule for Earth observation, solar-powered vehicles with integrated charging functions, and emission-free drones for inspection and transport tasks. Robots and exoskeletons extending or restoring human abilities were also in focus, along with devices that extract drinking water from the air and innovative solutions for urban supply and the food production of the future.
Maurice Lévy, co-chairman of VivaTech, emphasized the importance of the event: “From the beginning, my goal was to make innovations accessible to the general public, not just an elite group. To celebrate the tenth anniversary, we invite everyone for a walk into the age of the future – with robots and artificial intelligence.”
Marc-Antoine Jamet, president of the Comité Champs-Élysées, underlined the extraordinary focus: “On June 14, 2026, the Champs-Élysées sent a bold message with the world’s largest open-air tech demonstration. This spectacular event is open to Parisians as well as visitors from the Île-de-France – and to robots.”
The event marked the start of VivaTech’s anniversary celebrations, which continued from June 17 to 20, 2026, at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition center. The anniversary edition featured expanded exhibition spaces, even more immersive experiences, and an innovative program addressing the next ten years of technological developments.
Germany was represented this year as the “Country of the Year” and showcased the largest participation in VivaTech history with a delegation of 200 startups and broad support from federal and regional partners.
Since its founding in 2016, VivaTech has become a leading meeting place for founders, entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers. In 2025, the event attracted over 180,000 participants from 171 countries, underscoring the platform’s international significance.
The tenth anniversary confirms Paris’s role as a global center for innovation and technology. With steady growth and a focus on forward-looking technologies, VivaTech remains a key driver of technological progress in Europe.
