Tens of Thousands Return from Ceuta to Morocco

Ceuta - 01/08/2026: Following the exceptionally large influx into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta, more than 48,000 people have returned to Morocco, according to the government in Madrid. Many had previously reached the North African territory by land or by swimming. Spain is therefore one of the few European Union states to have a land border with Africa.According to international media, the returns were largely voluntary.
